The Christmas season is upon us once again, and Northern Health is ready to gift-wrap up another year of caring for our community. This December, staff are invited to enjoy a variety of Christmas activities designed to bring cheer and camaraderie and show appreciation for all the hard work throughout the year.

With a calendar full of joyful activities, there’s something special for everyone. From festive feasts to cheerful carolling and creative competitions, let’s make this season a memorable one!

Christmas BBQs:
Gather together for a delicious BBQ lunch with your colleagues. Join us at the following locations:

• Tuesday, 2 December: Kilmore District Hospital
• Tuesday, 9 December: Northern Hospital Epping
• Wednesday, 10 December: Craigieburn Community Hospital
• Thursday, 11 December: Bundoora Centre
• Monday 15 December: Merri-Bek Community – 130 Bell Street, Coburg (includes Glencairn and Exec Team, NW HOPE and Educators)
• Tuesday, 16 December: Hotham Street (includes NCCU/PARC)
• Wednesday, 17 December: Broadmeadows Hospital
• Thursday, 18 December: Broadmeadows PARC and CCU
• Thursday, 18 December: Noogal Clinic

Christmas Decorating Competition:
It’s that time of the year to decorate Northern Health’s wards, hallways and offices with tinsel, baubles and Christmas cheer. All staff are encouraged to get creative and take part in this year’s Christmas Decorating Competition.

There will be one prize for each site awarded to the area with the most creative display. Please click here for more details on how to get involved and how to enter your ward or work area. Happy decorating!

Christmas Carolling – Northern Health Community Choir:
The Northern Health Community Choir has a number of performances planned across sites. Join in the delightful carolling and spread some cheer this season, see the full list of dates in our Festive Calendar.

Christmas Eve Platters and Christmas Day Lunches for Staff:
Share platters will be provided for staff on Christmas Eve at Kilmore, Bundoora, Epping and Broadmeadows. Christmas Day lunch will be delivered to staff at Kilmore, Broadmeadows and Bundoora, and will be available for Epping staff from Henry’s Cafe.

Come down to the main foyer to soak in the Christmas winter wonderland, with beautiful handmade creations crafted by Larni Koutsofrigas and her team of ‘elves’. Made from styrofoam and repurposed materials, these decorations bring a touch of magic to our hospital this season.
